This spare Multifunctional Poly Tray is designed as a replacement for the trays included with our Flow Hive 2* or Flow Hive 2+.
Made from recycled polypropylene, the new look tray is sustainably produced, and much more sturdy & durable. Perfect for pest management it’s easily accessed for hive observations and provides a safe space for applying pest treatments.
The Flow Hive 2 base is designed to accommodate this multifunctional tray, which slides into the base and allows you to trap pests and monitor your colony's health.
The tray can be used to apply pest treatments – such as small hive beetle traps – to the hive and provides a secure space, free from bee activity. You can also use the tray to inspect debris from the hive, giving an insight into hive health.
*This product is not compatible with the Flow Hive Classic.

What an adventure in so many unexpected ways. Firstly the obvious - a bee hive was always on my bucket list as I live on my late grandparents block and they always kept bees. I have over 20 fruit trees, a native garden, grow a few vegies and a mish/mash of flowers and succulents. My late dad encouraged me to go down the flow hive avenue if I was able. The time was right late 2024 to start the research. Decided with family input to order both hive and bee nuc. Mid January was like Christmas morning as the boxes arrived and were unpacked. All grandchildren were fascinated - created great conversations and questions. I was a little stunned with how many pieces needed to construct "Lottie" however my only grandson (14yo) and I worked so well together; such an amazing school holiday project. We didn't rush and completed a stage a day. Lottie now sits proudly in our backyard with a local beekeeper overseeing our operations and inspections (we call him Bert the Bee man). Local granddaughter (who has previously been stung by a bee) still remains a little hesitant. She recorded us transferring the bee nuc to their new flowhive from a distance and is certainly looking forward to the honey. One unexpected advantage has been the young family members using their 'technology' learning about bees! Will report back in late spring/early summer to advise of our bee journey! Regards - From the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria.
These are great trays - I have 2 pair for each of my 5 Flow Hive 2+ systems. Sturdy, washable, and easy to see and identify everything dropped through the screened bottoms of my hives. A "must have" in my apiary.
