Manufactured in the same style as those included with our Flow Hive 2, these sustainably source Australian Araucaria brood boxes are manufactured in Langstroth deep 8 or 10 frame sizing.
They can be used for brood, or as an additional conventional honey super.
The brood box includes our unique V™ design which also doubles as a feature handle. 8 foundationless brood frames are also included for the bees to naturally build their brood comb. The brood frames are also built to accommodate wax and wire or plastic foundation if you wish.
Made in Australia from durable, sustainably sourced Araucaria, these brood boxes are the ideal addition to any existing hive set-up.
What size do I need?
– Our 8 Frame Brood Box is compatible with the 6 Frame Flow hive.
– Our 10 Frame Brood Box is compatible with the 7 Frame Flow hive.
This product is manufactured to the same specifications as the Flow Hive 2, and Flow Hive 2+ and is compatible with all individual components in this range.
Also designed to be compatible with Langstroth hives – please check specific dimensions here.
*Can be used in conjunction with our Flow Hive Classic collection, however, there is a minor sizing difference in the external timber width. More information here.
Our Flow Frames are slightly wider than traditional wooden brood frames, so less of them are required to fill the super in a hive in comparison to brood frames in the brood box.

I purchased this hive about 5 years ago. Intimidated with bee keeping, it wasn’t until a swarm landed on my property was I then thrusted into this amazing hobby. I purchased the extra brood box so they had plenty of room, so that o wouldn’t have to do a split til next year. Treated for the verro mite late with apviar so I won’t be able to put on my honey super til end of June. That leaves about one month of honey flow so I don’t know if I’ll get honey this year. Fingers crossed. I can’t wait to harvest honey from my flow hive.
