I can’t express how great this hive is. It’s an engineering masterpiece, you can tell how passionate they are about their products. The stand and beetle trap are amazing and highly recommend them. The external entrance excluder is genius, can just pop on and off where traditional ones get glued in if you leave them too long. Harvesting is obviously the coolest part, but I really appreciate the work they put into their website and all the resources they make available to you. Can’t wait to catch another swarm and get my second flow hive!
Quality cedar and hardware. Hive was easy to put together. Overall experience has been great. Currently bees have been busy building new comb and increasing their colony size. I’m a new beekeeper and plan to harvest honey next year utilizing the flow hive super!
I honestly can’t believe how easy and enjoyable my beekeeping journey has been, all thanks to the Flow Hive 2+! As someone who had zero experience with bees (and was honestly a little nervous at first), I did a ton of research before deciding which hive to buy. I kept seeing rave reviews about Flow Hive and decided to take the plunge—and I’m SO glad I did. First of all, the setup was surprisingly simple. The instructions and online videos were super clear, and even though I had never assembled anything related to bees before, it all came together perfectly. The craftsmanship is beautiful—the cedar wood looks gorgeous in my backyard, and I love that it’s sustainably sourced. But what really blew me away was how innovative this hive is. The Flow system is truly genius. The idea that I could harvest honey straight from the hive without opening it up or disturbing the bees seemed too good to be true—but it really works! I just turned the key and watched the golden honey flow out right into my jars. No mess, no stress, and most importantly, no upset bees. I felt like a magician. The built-in features like the observation windows are awesome. I can watch the bees doing their thing up close without having to open the hive. It’s fascinating and so rewarding. Plus, the adjustable stand, the upgraded ventilation, and the pest management tray are thoughtful touches that make a big difference. What’s also great is the sense of community and support. Flow Hive has amazing customer service, tons of educational content, and a super welcoming online community. I never felt like I was doing this alone. In short, the Flow Hive 2+ has completely exceeded my expectations. It’s made beekeeping accessible, exciting, and so much fun. I’ve already harvested my first batch of honey, and it tastes incredible—so fresh and pure. I’m officially hooked. We are loving the new Flow Hive 2+. As new beekeeper's we couldn't be happier.
So far we are loving it , we painted the hive and got the nuts, they are going gang busters . We put another brood box on now waiting to put the supper on, maybe in a month or so .Hoping to get a little honey this yr but if not that’s ok . We love the hive and bees. Thank you Betty and Ava. PS… I haven’t got the weather gard yet ,they sent the wrong size with my order.
