While we don’t have bees yet, we painted and assembled our hive and it was easy peasy. All the pieces fit as they should. Also very fun to paint and make a home for our future bees!
So far I love it!! Just put the honey super on and hopefully they fill it up!!
The flow hive is well made and we are loving our bees. Hoping they will take to our super but they have not yet. We did wait till the brood box was about 90% full before putting the super on but they are not using it yet only 3 or 4 bees in the super after a week of installation.
I ordered my flow hive after researching them a lot due to a friend telling me about them but the price had me second guessing it. Well I made the order and the hive was supposed to be at my house within the week but due to bad storms up north it was delayed. The product was not scanned after a few days so I contacted Flowhive with no answer due to being in Australia and myself in the states, they called back and assured me if it does not scan in a few days they will have another one sent to me. Produced scanned a few days later and I received it! Putting it together was a breeze, stained it and painted the roof and now as of a few days ago I was able to install my super! Now we wait for the deliciousness! Great experience and I will be ordering another for next spring!
works great nice finish and smooth edges, only bought a second one because the one that came with my flow hive I cut to a three-inch opening so I have choices.
