The flow hive is amazing ! It is so easy to build and set up, Once the bee nucleus was introduced it took less than 4 months before I was able to draw off some honey. We bought the Flow Hive for each other for Christmas. Will keep on giving for a long long time !
I have had a flow hive for a few years but it sat empty on the veranda. This year however I populated from a friends hive 6 months ago. What a fantastic journey. Slow start to a now booming, hence the second super. My friend is now in the process of selling off his honey processing gear after watching me, a novice, harvest KG of honey and put it on the table ready to use straight away. Once his gear is sold he will be investing in his own Flow Hive. If I can be ****** .... I farking love the thrill of working with the bees, the sounds, the smells, their reactions and watching their moods change..... just brilliant.
Look everything I received was good except the hive stand which I have had major ongoing issues with. Though staff have been very helpful and hopefully I get it sorted out this week.
Assembly was straightforward. The bees took to it fairly quickly and have been working the flow frames and propolizing everything up.
Well designed...brilliant, well made and performs as advertised
